GLOBAL RISK MIYAMOTO RELEASES EARTHQUAKE RECONNAISSANCE REPORT
Magnitude 6.8 Niigata Chuetsu-Oki, Japan Earthquake Impacts
November 1, 2007, Sacramento, CA
- Immediately following
the Niigata Chuetsu-Oki, Japan Earthquake, Global Risk
Miyamoto sent a team of experts to the epicentral area
to survey facility damage and to assess business
interruption impacts to companies and surrounding
communities. The
6.8 magnitude earthquake was responsible for ten deaths,
1339 injuries, and over 11,000 seriously damaged
buildings. It also caused severe economic losses to
Japan's power and automobile industries and to numerous
local businesses.
Global
Risk Miyamoto is pleased to announce the publication of
the reconnaissance report detailing observations and
lessons learned from this earthquake.
